Endonasal Cranial Correction

Endonasal Cranial Correction™

Many people think that the skull is a rigid 'bowling ball' type structure and that the bones are completely fused.  It will probably surprise some that your skull is not a single bone but rather several flat bones that piece together. It is made up of 22 individual bones that actually move a very small amount, every time you breathe – or at least they are supposed to... But cranial fixations are a common occurrence and often times the root cause of many chronic neurological conditions and recurrent pain syndromes that don’t respond to conventional chiropractic adjusting procedures. Frequent causes of cranial aberrations and sutural fixations are things like head trauma, birth trauma, uneven bite force (TMJ disorder), bruxism and as a compensation for spinal issues.

It is important to realize that cranial motion is not “gross osseous movement” – it is more of an expansion & relaxation type of movement, with each cranial bone having its own specific direction of motion. This “cranial respiratory motion” works in direct conjunction with “sacral respiratory motion” and is the key mechanism by which Cerebral Spinal Fluid (CSF) is produced in the choroid plexus and circulated throughout the brain and spinal cord.

Whilst there are several different forms of cranial correction, our practices utilizes Endonasal Cranial Correction™. Whilst similar to Cranial Facial Release or Cranio Facial Release, CFR is more non-specific in its application.

In ECC™ we use balloons inserted into the nasal cavity to achieve the correction. Whilst this may sound off-putting, most people who have experienced it describe the experience as awkward but not particularly painful. The results however can be dramatic.

The key to accomplishing this cranial bone correction is to find the cranial bones that are out of place in a direction the body cannot self correct because there’s no muscles pulling in the direction needed that are not compensations for something else. This is same principle we use in Advanced BioStructural Correction™.

If you are curious about ECC™ then ask one our senior practitioners in our who are all qualified.
